Young People's Writer's Cup
We believe in freedom of speech through literacy and creativity. Young people can practice free speech and win.
Practicing freedom of speech by writing isn't just for adults.
Many young people besides being capable of creating and telling amazing stories are also fully able to express their thoughts, feelings and experiences in writing. This contest encourages that.
The goal of our Young Writer's Cup contest is to encourage writers from elementary school through to high-school to express themselves in writting and perhaps even begin their writing career early.
Over the summer many students have plenty of "bored" time to create a poem, a short-story, or even a short novel — one that can be entered into our Young Writer's Cup contest.
Every entry wins! Every entry will be published either as an e-book, if it's long enough, or included in an anthology of similar works if it's short.
And every writer (or their guardian) will earn royalties on every book sold.
And besides getting published there are also prizes like an Apple iPod or a Toys-R-us gift certificate in every age group from the youngest on up... So who knows what having your amazing story or poetry published could mean...
So get typing...
The contest closes midnight, September 15th 2010.
